The chairman of the governing council of Kogi State University Kabba, Prof. Sadiku, led a delegation of council members to pay a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB. During the visit, Prof. Sadiku highlighted the remarkable progress of the university, describing it as the youngest state-owned university in the state that is ready to soar to new heights.

Under the watchful eye of the honourable commissioner, the university achieved the fastest NUC approval, a notable accomplishment that was praised by Prof. Sadiku. He also commended the efforts of the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the current governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for their dedication to the development of the university.

The chairman of the governing council expressed gratitude to the royal fathers and the host community for their support, and assured the commissioner of their commitment to achieving the university’s vision of becoming a world-class institution. He described the commissioner as a good man and pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the university’s success.

In response, Hon Wemi Jones welcomed the council members and expressed his delight in witnessing the progress of the university, which he referred to as a dream turned into reality. He credited the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his vision and leadership in establishing the university, and applauded Governor Usman Ododo for continuing the legacy.
