Governor Bello Applauds Kogi Journalists, Assures Tinubu Will Win Feb 25 Elections

Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello, has commended Kogi state Council of Nigeria Union Of Journalists (Nuj) for what he described as new partnership which exist among the union and his administration.

Bello made the remarks at a symposium organised by Kogi state council of Nuj, to mark the seventh year anniversary of APC administration in kogi state.

The Governor revealed that the unprecedented achievements recorded within the period under review in Kogi State under his administration is a product of derived formula geared towards solving the State challenges he met when he assumed office seven years ago.

The Governor who spoke extensively on the challenges faced by his administration,urged his successor to leverage on the policies he adopted in developing kogi state to the highest pedestal of infrastructural development.

While speaking on the forthcoming elections,Bello appealed to politicians to play by the rules as the nation approach the general elections, so that Nigerians electorates wouldn’t fall into the traps of few individual and ant democrats politicians bent on creating violence and not wanting election to hold.

He expressed optimism that the 2023
Elections will hold in peace, urged Nigerians to remain calm, pointing out that the current situation facing the country is temporal.

Gov Bello who appealed to Nigerians to go into the forthcoming elections in peaceful manner and remain resolute, assured them that the APC Presidential Flagbearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, will win the election overwhelmingly in kogi state and the country at large.

The Governor promised to sustained cordial relationship with the NUJ, urged media Professionals to remain unbiased in their reportage and in reporting the elections.

Earlier, Kogi State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, in his welcome Address, who reviewed the achievements recorded by Bello’s administration, said the symposium is geared towards looking at the areas the administration has done well.

Adeiza who commended the Governor however called both government and the union on the need to sustain the new partnership which he described as mutual in ensuring peaceful coexistence.
