Governor Mutfwang Appeals to Civil servants to call of the ongoing Strike for the interest of Plateau state.
The Newly inaugurated Governor of Plateau state, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, Has Pleaded with the state civil servants to reconsider their ongoing indefinite strike for the love and interest of the state,the Governor made the statement at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos, while delivering his maiden speech as the Executive Governor of the state immediately after he took oath of office along side his Deputy,Mrs Josephine Piyo.
He assured the civil servants of Training and retraining and his administration will not regard payment of salaries as an achievement but rather,a duty,civil service reform will be a priority to the Administration.
The Public Private Partnership (PPP),will be adopted as an official and strategic corner policy of our development initiatives.
We will work to lower the cost of governance, without jeopardizing the future of our workers.
Internally generated revenue will be repositioned,our Ultimate target is to pay workers salaries from internally generated revenue.
He pledged not to witch hunt, neither will embark on blame game but will ask questions and seek clarifications on grey areas from the handing over note.
A state of emergency was declared on the environment and Sanitation in Jos North and Jos South Local Government Areas, matching order was giving to all Agencies of government to take immediate steps to clear the stinking and ugly heaps of waste littered across the major cities in Jos and Bukuru Metropolis which is an eyesore.

For Any meaningful development and for any Government to succeed,there must be peace and there is no Community of people that are accommodating and welcoming like Plateau state.
We urged all and Sundry,to embrace peace no matter the level of provocations,let’s do away with hate and distrust of the past and embrace the brotherliness as Plateau is known for. We will be firm,but fair and just to all people irrespective of their Political,Ethnic and religious inclinations.

As matter of urgency,we will revive and equip Operation Rainbow.
The Administration will not relent in instituting a standing committee that will shoulder with the responsibility for the resettlement of the Internally Displace Persons .
Agriculture has been and will continue to be the mainstay of the new Plateau and we will take deliberate steps to procure fertilizers and other farming inputs and distribute it on subsidized rate. In view of this, Agricultural Services and Training Centres,ASTC and Plateau state Agricultural Development Program. PADP as well as re-acquired Brewery Agro-Research Company (BARC) Farm shall all be reinvigorated.
