Governor Ododo Appoints Hon. Prince Philip Orebiyi a Tourism Veteran as Chairman Kogi Hotels and Tourism Board ..

The Government of Kogi State has set the stage for a very elaborate development and marketing of the Kogi State Tourism potential to the global world with the appointments of core specialists in the tourism Industry to run the Kogi Hotels and Tourism board.

Hon Prince Philip Orebiyi who at the time of his appointment runs a tourism company in Nigeria, Gold Tourism and Sail Ltd which engages in destination management, tourism administration and festival management in and out of Nigeria also consult for Senate Committee National Assembly Abuja (Tourism) on the possibility to reposition tourism as a revenue option to the governments with practical choice of selective destinations across the world.

Orebiyi who hails from Ogbe in Yagba west LGA of Kogi State was a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and served severally as Chairman Committee on Culture and Tourism, he was appointed Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Government on Culture and Tourism.

After years of travels across the world on practical cultural tourism involvement he birthed the Apapo Okun Cultural Festival in Okun land. A very successful cultural festival that detailed the marketable tourism features of the Okun people.

Also appointed to complement the very important appointment is a Tour Veteran Hajia Bilikisu Abdulsalam Ogueyi CEO of Bboog Travels Abuja as the General Manager of the Kogi Hotels and Tourism Board.

The Governors of Kogi State have set the ball rolling with the combination of these very experienced hands in the industry. Combining a destination specialist and a tour expert is a very good one .
