GOVERNOR ODODO ATTENDS THE FUNERAL OF SENATOR ALEX USMAN KADIRI, OFFERS CONDOLENCES AND PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE FAMILY

Thousands of sympathisers gathered for the burial ceremony of late Chief Senator Alex Usman Kadiri in his home town, Odu Ogboyaga in Dekina Local Government Area.

Addressing the mourners, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo said Kogi State Government will extend hand of fellowship to Late Chief Senator Alex Usman Kadiri family.

Represented by the Deputy Governor Comrade Joel Salifu said the death of Late Chief Senator Alex Usman Kadiri has created a vacum in Kogi East the state and the country at large.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo said the deceased was a good man and a respected political leader, stressing that Chief Senator Alex Usman Kadiri is a friend to all across the country.

He described him as an accomplished politician of worth and called on upcoming politicians to embrace his legacies.

The Governor sympathise with the people of the family, the Attah of Igala, Kogi East and the state and Prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

Earlier, the Catholic Bishop of Idah Dioceses, Most Reverend Father Anthony Adaji called on political leaders to cut down cost of Governance.

Bishop Anthony Adaji said the place of Sacrifice and patriotic service is pivotal to the growth of any society in the world.

According to him Chief Alex Usman Kadiri is a devoted Christian who lived a fufilled life of generousity to all.

Speaking during the burial ceremony, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo said the Igala people have lost a reverred leader and Commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for attending the burial ceremony.

In their respective tributes, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Ethics and Value; Hon. Sheik Sani and the former Registrar, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed said Death is a necessary end to all mortal and described him as a hero in Kogi East politics.

In her expression of gratitude, the Daughter of the deceased, Mrs Pauline Uche Kadiri described her father as a descent personality and a crusader, stressing that his wealth of wisdom will be greatly missed.

Among personality in attendance is Senator Tunde Ogbeha; Senator Nicholas Ugbane; Commissioner of Agriculture, Timothy Ojomah, the Director General of Kogi State Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon Muhammed Nasiru Alfa; and Other notable and top Politicians in the country.
