GOVERNOR ODODO COMMENDS KOGI YOUTH FOR COMMITMENT TO PEACE, URGES THEM TO EMBRACE INTEGRITY, UNITY.

Ahead of the local government election in Kogi State, Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support and cooperation of youths in the state.

Governor Ododo who made this known when he received the leadership of Kogi Youths at the Government House in Lokoja today also noted that politics, ethnicity and religious affiliations will not be allowed to divide the youths and people of the state.

Ododo urged the leaders of the youths to imbibe the culture of integrity and unity, stressing that Kogi state is blessed with abundant Mineral Resources capable of feeding the entire nation.

The Governor who added that his administration will continue to make the state resources work for the people further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts in the revitalisation of Ajaokuta Steel Company and other initiatives to alleviate the present economic challenges in the country.

Addressing the State’s security situation ,
Governor Ododo assured that his administration will prioritize combating crime and making state resources work for the people.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Monday Anyebe commended the governor for his commitment towards the development of youth in the state.

He expresses the readiness of the youth to continue to work with the state government keeping aside political affiliations.

On his part, the State APC Youth Leader, Uba Muhammed who noted that the youths are the builders of any nation commended the Governor for his continous efforts in ensuring youth inclusion in the governance of the state.

Also, the Youth Leader of SDP and representative of the opposition parties, Ameh Nuhu commended the impeccable records of achievement of the Governor in youth development, security and infrastructural development since he assumed office.

Other Opposition youth leaders who spoke on the sideline noted that the commitment of the state government in combating crime and impacting the lives of the people of the state is unprecedented.

They commended the Governor’s efforts towards reviving Ajaokuta steel company which they emphasized would provide job opportunities for the teeming youths in the state

The meeting, attended by youth leaders from major political parties in Kogi State, showcased the administration’s commitment to youth development and security.
