Governor Ododo Praises Elulu of Mopa, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun for Developmental Efforts

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commended the Elulu of Mopa, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, for his developmental strides in the community.
The Governor’s representative, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), State Security Adviser, conveyed the praise during Oba Ibeun’s first anniversary celebration.
Governor Ododo emphasized that he does not interfere in the selection of traditional rulers, respecting the customs, culture, and traditions of various communities in the state.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government and traditional institutions to accelerate development and promote peaceful coexistence.
Oba Ibeun’s efforts to attract investors and promote community policing initiatives in Mopa were particularly commended.
The Governor also praised the initiative to honor the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, as the Yeye Oba of Mopa land, recognizing her commitment and dedication to the state’s service.
He commended Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi for honouring the people of not only Mopa but the entire Okun nation, stressing that his administration is just in the distribution of social amenities across all the local government areas of the state as seen in the ongoing construction of Mopa township roads and other projects in the area.
Oba Ibeun’s first anniversary celebration showcased his commitment to peace and development in Mopa communities, with a focus on bringing development to the community and the local government area.
