The Governor, while receiving the honour, declared that there would be no space for criminals in Kogi State, stressing that his administration would continue to strengthen the state’s security architecture and support security agencies in the discharge of their duties.
He commended the various security agencies operating in the state for their dedication, courage and steadfastness in protecting lives and property, noting that their sacrifices and commitment remain critical to the relative peace being experienced across the state.
Governor Ododo assured the security agencies of his administration’s continued maximum support, promising to provide the necessary logistics and other assistance required to enhance their operational effectiveness.
The Governor said security remains a major priority of his administration, stressing that sustainable development, economic growth and investment can only thrive in an environment where lives and property are adequately protected.
His position is consistent with previous statements and actions by his administration, including continued support for security agencies and the provision of operational assets to strengthen their capacity to tackle criminal activities across the state.

He said the state would continue to leverage the opportunities provided by the Federal Government to accelerate development and improve the living conditions of its people.
Governor Ododo also acknowledged the importance of the collaboration between the Federal Government, state government and security agencies in confronting emerging security challenges. Recent reports have highlighted increased coordination among federal and state security institutions in Kogi.
