Governor Ododo’s Media Adviser Hails Austyn Ochu’s Appointment at CUSTECH
The Special Adviser on Media to the Governor of Kogi State, Ismail Isah, has congratulated Mr. Austyn Ochu on his appointment as the Deputy Director of the Information, Public Relations, and Protocol Unit at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Isah described Ochu’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of communication and public relations.

He noted that with over three decades of experience in government service and media, including roles within the Kogi State Government and the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Ochu is well positioned to enhance the university’s public engagement and institutional visibility.
“His commitment to professionalism and strategic communication is commendable, and we trust that he will bring innovation and excellence to his new role,” Ihe stated.
The spokesperson further emphasized that the decision of the CUSTECH management to appoint Ochu on a contract basis reflects their confidence in his expertise and leadership in public relations and protocol management.
According to the media adviser, Ochu’s appointment aligns with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s vision of recognizing and supporting professionals who contribute meaningfully to education and public service in Kogi State.
