HEARTFELT BIRTHDAY MESSAGE TO MY BROTHER, HON. WEMI JONES – COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION, KOGI STATE

On this special day, my thoughts go beyond celebration to deep appreciation for your life and impact.

It is a rare blessing to find a brother who does not only share your bloodline of loyalty, but also your political beliefs, your vision for society, and your passion for doing things the right way. With you, alignment has never been forced, it has always been natural. We believed in the same ideals long before positions came. And even in office, those ideals have remained intact.

As Commissioner for Education, you have shown what capacity truly means. You did not just administer; you transformed. You did not just supervise; you inspired. Your calm intellect, attention to detail, and firmness in decision-making have left visible footprints in the sector.

Policies under your watch carried thoughtfulness. Reforms carried courage. And the system felt your presence.

But beyond the office, beyond the files and meetings, you have remained the same brother I have known for years; accessible, steady, and sincere.

I remember our long conversations about the future we hoped to see, the frustrations we shared when things were not working, and the faith that kept us going.

We have grown in experience, in resilience, in understanding but the bond has not changed.

What I admire most about you is your consistency.

Titles have not altered your humility. Influence has not reduced your warmth. You still listen. You still check in. You still stand firm when principles are at stake.

We have come far, my brother. From those early days of dreams and debates, to positions of responsibility and impact. And I know this is only another chapter, not the conclusion.

On this birthday, I pray that strength meets wisdom in greater measure, that your vision becomes clearer, and that the years ahead reward your labour of integrity and service.

Happy Birthday to a brother in ideology, in service, and in heart.

The journey continues and I am grateful to be walking it with you.
