Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security Matters, who has thrown his weight fully behind the Delta State Government in welcoming Nigeria’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to her ancestral roots in Warri.
The visit of the First Lady, wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is being described by stakeholders as more than ceremonial. It is a deeply symbolic return to heritage — a reconnection of national leadership with ancestral identity within the revered Warri Kingdom.

Under the directive of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, various ministries, security agencies, cultural troupes and community leaders have intensified preparations. Warri metropolis is already wearing a new look, with banners, cultural insignia and royal colours adorning major routes.
Security coordination meetings involving conventional security agencies, community vigilantes and youth stakeholders have been held to guarantee crowd control, traffic management and overall safety.
As Special Assistant on Security Matters, General Oloye has been instrumental in liaising with both formal and informal security networks across Warri South, Warri North and Warri South-West to ensure maximum coverage and intelligence synergy.
Observers say his involvement reflects the government’s recognition of the importance of blending grassroots security structures with official apparatus during high-profile visits.
