He called on the newly elected council chairmen and councillors to make grassroots development their priority by addressing the pressing needs of their respective communities, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and economic development.
The KOSOPADC executive director also urged the elected officials to promote unity, peace and cooperation among political stakeholders, stressing that local government administration remains a critical platform for delivering democratic dividends to the people.

He equally applauded Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his leadership and commitment to democratic governance in the state.
According to him, the peaceful conduct of the election and the emergence of the successful candidates provide an opportunity to deepen democratic participation and accelerate development across the state.

Ajayi further emphasized the need for collaboration between local government administrations, the state government and relevant development agencies to promote inclusive growth and improve the living conditions of residents across Kogi West.
He expressed optimism that the new administration at the grassroots would build on existing development efforts and initiate programmes that would positively impact the lives of the people.
The KOSOPADC executive director wished the elected chairmen and ward councillors successful tenures, urging them to demonstrate integrity, transparency and dedication in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He maintained that the true measure of their electoral victories would be the quality of governance they provide and the tangible improvements they deliver to their respective communities.
