Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, PhD: A Striding Outlier @ 56

Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, (Ph.D) I know is a “Spartan cut-material” known for resolute, courage and self-discipline. He is a leading leader; a maker of men.
I have long admired him for his brilliance, ardour and proactive for duty. I believe it will not be an over-reach to say he bears the totem of excellence performance. He comes to any assignment, whether in a private or public office, with gravitas, passion, humility and carrying capacity. I have seen this facility for distinction from a distance, in about one decade
and half in a staple of a brilliant wordsmith, vibrant articulator and excellent role model.

I have also seen it from closer quarters in his roles in public office as in politics, leadership and human management. His roles has analgesic effects, and the excellence that oozes from his effort is a good inspiration that has far-reaching within and out of Kogi social – political borderlines.
And now Dr. Olumoko in his usual heroic exploit, is breathing life into the younger generation, strengthening the filial ties between his generation and generations to come.
His 56th birthday reminds us of two significant milestones in barely one year and few months he became the Pro-chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the newly upgraded Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State, Nigeria. And while he remains singleton amongst his contemporaries!.
First, Olumoko has succeeded in mixing the true measure of quality leadership with excellence in the tempo of a lasting hope for the young and more younger generations in the sheer vision of building a legacy, showcasing and entrusting an enduring “will” towards emancipating and resuscitating attractive future of emerging scholars.
He has succeeded in placing Federal University of Education, Pankshin on the pedestal of prosperity and fostering it for national and global competitiveness for values additional and knowledge transformation/transfer not only for Pankshin, Plateau State but Nigeria as a whole. This commitment has shown in his temerity to dared every developmental attention from structural/administrative to infrastructural development within the institution under his watch. For Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, this feat is not merely about shaping new-order, but also embodying selflessness, resourcefulness and excellence; a potential he has relentlessly exhibited in all his duty bound. Building bridges and fostering growth for men and country is not just an advent for him but a unique call.
And secondly, he has succeeded in building capacity in human capital development by securing employment for huge numbers of Okun sons and daughters in Federal University of Education, Pankshin. A feat unmatched by anyone in his constituency at present.
Either from helping individuals entrepreneur/business to provide cash startup, to empowering young leaders in politics, or providing urgent help to individuals facing personal difficulties in health, education and finances, Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko is no doubt a lifeline, and a human developer.
I described him in his 55th birthday in a manner of the stride of an elephant who goes with a silent noise that exude confidence and obviously mark it out in the Kingdom of animals as a king of the jungle in its own unique excellence and sovereign.[“Ajanaku koja mori nkan firi, taba ri erin kasope ari erin”]. And that’s whom he is.
Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko’s, (fnimn) eventful life is far more reaching. His unwavering dedication to grassroots development and empowerment has earned him a glowing feat. And has remarkably made him a harvest among his contemporaries. He offers a detailed and insightful interplay between politics, management and good leadership in his life and career.
Olumoko’s political philosophy and leadership approach is deeply rooted in excellence and philanthropy. He rose to prominence within the context of local politics, showing how his community engagement/development, grassroots mobilization and networking shaped his vision, mission and manifest.
His benevolence cannot be understood without looking at his local and international participatory content in the facade of (Ogidi-Omo Movement World Wide), a political formation renowned for philanthropy, mentorship and model of radical political movement; these and many more features influenced his early political carrier, philosophy and dynamics.
By focusing on human development, Olumoko’s brand of modern politics provides robust understanding of how concerted and conscious identity creation through exemplariness and human/community development can shaped for him, distinguished national recognition. His genre of leadership has defined the trajectory and modelled deliberate contribution of good governance and proactive leadership for the upcoming and extant leaders.
Undoubtedly, Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko is a product of sound, sustained and a personified human edifice in the nature of cogent planning and administration of curative pills purchased at genuine market and used for the needs of the targets. He is a material. A strategic builder and a singleton lifter of men. Sincerely speaking, he’s a huge pillar of rest.
