The peaceful conduct and massive voter turnout during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary have drawn high praise from local leadership, sparking strong confidence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Hon. Funsho Olumoko, PhD, the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ijumu Local Government Area, commended party faithful for their orderly conduct and enthusiastic participation in the democratic process that saw President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerge as the APC presidential flagbearer.
Dr. Olumoko expressed deep satisfaction with the level of mobilization in Ijumu LGA, noting that the large turnout is a clear testament to the deep-rooted acceptance of the APC and its leadership within the locality. He praised the electoral officials and security agencies for ensuring a transparent, smooth, and hitch-free exercise.
“The overwhelming turnout of our party members today demonstrates their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to the progressive ideals of the APC,” Olumoko said.
“The peaceful atmosphere under which this primary was conducted shows that our party is mature, united, and ready for the tasks ahead.”
With President Tinubu officially secured as the party’s candidate, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator looked toward the future with high optimism. He assured stakeholders that the momentum generated during the primary would be sustained and amplified moving toward the general elections.
Dr. Olumoko asserted that the achievements of the current administration, coupled with robust grassroots mobilization strategies, will guarantee a resounding victory for the APC.
“We are not just looking forward to winning; we are preparing for an overwhelming victory across all boards in 2027,” Olumoko declared. “Ijumu Local Government and Kogi State as a whole will deliver a landslide mandate to ensure the continuation of the Renewed Hope agenda.”
He urged all party members, including those who supported other aspirants, to close ranks, embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, and work cohesively as one family to secure total victory for the party in the upcoming general elections.
