Hon. Idris Salman Commission Six Blocks of Classrooms, Solar Powered Boreholes in Okedayo, Idumo and Odo-Ape communities, Kabba/Bunu respectively, empowers over 600 widows in the Federal Constituency

The member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Idris Salman has commissioned a block of Six Classrooms as one of his Constituency projects in Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Okedayo in Kabba district, as part of his contributions to enhance secondary school education in the constituency.
Speaking at the event which was well attended by traditional rulers, community leaders and students of the school, Hon. Salman said the project is a significant step towards bridging the infrastructure gap in the educational institutions and ensuring that the students have access to modern facilities that will support their educational journey.
According to him, he is mindful of the importance of education in driving socio-economic development and transformation of communities, promising more investments in education, leveraging on partnering with reputable organizations and exploring innovative solutions to address the complex challenges facing the sector.
He noted that the newly commissioned classrooms are a testament to his commitment and determination to create conducive learning environments that will enhance academic excellence and personal growth of the students of the beneficiary school.
“Hon. Salman Idris’ efforts to enhance education in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency are part of a broader commitment to community development, which includes initiatives such as.
– Infrastructure Development: Improving access to quality education through infrastructure development, including the construction of classrooms, libraries, and other educational facilities.
– Teacher Development: Supporting teacher training and development programs to enhance the quality of education and ensure that teachers are equipped to provide world-class instruction.
-Scholarship Programs: Providing scholarship opportunities to deserving students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to support their academic pursuits.

In another development, the lawmaker also have commissioned a solar powered Boreholes in Idumo and Odo-Ape communities in Bunuland for the people in the area to have access to portable water supply.
Earlier over six hundred (600) windows were also empowered with food items, clothing materials and cash to support them to celebrate the yuletide season with their families while other empowerment programs continue today at this country home of Aiyegunle Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area.
