Hon. Luka James Idoh unanimously Emerged as Leader of Jos East Legislative Arm.
The Honourable Councillor Representing Fobur-B West,has been elected and sworn in as the Leader of the Legislative Arm of Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau state.
In a brief ceremony at the Council’s Chambers in Angware.
The special session which was conducted by the Clerk of the Legislative Arm.

The Leader was unanimously nominated and seconded by his colleagues without any other counter nomination from his colleagues.
Also elected as the deputy leader is Hon. Ajang Arin Agok, Councillor Representing Fursum East.
Hon. Luka John Itse representing Jarawan Kogi A ward was announced as a Majority leader.
The Position of the minority Leader went to Hon. Itse Izang Ishaku,who represents Maijuju -Doss ward.
In his acceptance speech, hon. Idoh expresses his appreciation to God Almighty and his political party,P.D.P for enabling environment and platform to contest for the Councillorship position and represent Fobur B West.
According to him,my appreciation also goes to my mentor,the Executive Chairman of Jos East, how’s guidance and leadership led to this huge success and to my Hon. Colleagues,thank you for putting your trust in me to lead this distinguished chamber and I will not take this trust lightly,as I begin this journey,I pledge my loyalty to the Service of my dear beloved Local government and I promise to lead this Honourable house with integrity and honesty by ensuring that, each decision reflects our sheer commitments to serve with inclusive environment and work diligently to ensure that every member of this chamber is valued without sentiment or segregation, together we will focus on making laws,policies that prioritizes the needs of our Constituence,as we embark on this journey, i humbly covet your prayers ,leadership is not a lonely journey,it requires collaboration and Unity and i will be a leader who is honest and loyal to all of you,let us unite in the mission and betterment of Jos East LGA.
The Inauguration was conducted amid cheers and admiration of hundreds of supporters, cut across the entire Local Government Area.
Party stalwarts were also present includes the former minister of Transportation,Engineer Mohammed Musa Azi Azi, Senior Special adviser to the Governor of Plateau state,on Peace Building,Hon. Monday Nyam Ajiya,Hon. Sanusi Nyam,Commissioner,House of Assembly service among others.
