Hon. Olumoko, Chairman Governing Board, Federal College Of Education, Pankshin and Board Members Visit Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and Hon. Speaker of the State House of Assembly

The recently inaugurated Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Pankshin in Plateau state, yesterday paid courtesy visit on the Governor of the host state, Plateau, His Excellency Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang in Government house, Jos along with members of the board.

Also on ground to receive the team was Mrs. Josephine Piyo, the Deputy Governor of the state, the Head of Service, Mrs Rauta Dakok and other Commissioners, as well as other Government functionaries.

In his speech, the Kogi born Chairman of the Board, Honourable Funsho Olumoko (FNIMN), told the Governor that he and his team are eager to share their visions, aimed at advancing the institution’s course, as they seek his support, and are looking forward to discussing on how to collaborate with state government to ensure the growth and success of the institution which ultimately will be for the benefits of our students and the community at large.

In part, the Chairman was quoted as saying “Just like Oliver Twist, we at the Federal College of Education in Pankshin will always strive to push boundaries and seek further assistance in infrastructure, training facilities, technology, security and other innovations that will propel the college’s mission forward”

While assuring, the Governor of their continued cooperation and support for the institution, the Chairman, commended the Governor Caleb for his effort thus far and appealed to him for his continued support and guidance, which will no doubt enable them to create conducive environment for learning and growth.

He told the Governor that, they are unequivocally committed to ensuring that the students have access to the best resources and opportunities which will be targeted at ensuring academic excellence and community impact.

In his response, Governor Caleb expressed his deep appreciations to the team for deeming it fit, to pay him and good people of Plateau state a courtesy visit, noting that, it is a sign of good beginning. Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang , therefore, assured the Chairman and his team of Government’s support and collaborations, to ensure they achieve remarkable milestones in advancing academic growth and community development.

The Governor, thereafter, confer an award on Honourable Funsho, whom he said he is delighted in and willing to support in all ramifications to succeed.

In another development, the Chairman also led his team to the Honourable Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dawan, where the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Madaki Isa Ajiji and other Principal Officers of the Assembly joined to received them.

The Speaker expressed their willingness to offer the team, unparalleled support, saying their visit was not only timely but their points well laid, setting a road map for development.

The team exchanged pleasantries, signed the visitors books and pictures were taken to round off the events.
