Hon. Salman Idris Quiz Competition for Secondary Schools in Ijumu/Kabba-Bunu Federal Constituency Begins Today

The quiz competition for secondary schools in the Ijumu/Kabba-Bunu Federal Constituency kicks off today, featuring participation from 20 secondary schools in the preliminary stages.

In line with his commitment to enhancing the secondary education sector through intellectual competition, the conveners of the Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions have organized this quiz competition in honor of Hon. Salman Idris, the Federal House of Representatives member for the constituency.

The competition aims to promote educational excellence among the participating schools. A press statement signed by Hon. Oladipo Bayode was made available to newsmen in Lokoja yesterday. It highlighted that Arch. Salman Idris was named the “Kogi Man of the Year” at the Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions in 2017, which inspired the organization to honor him with this competition.

The organizers have appealed to the heads of public secondary schools in the federal constituency to support this initiative and ensure their schools participate.

Collaborating with the Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions, the competition will provide students with exposure to new ideas and knowledge, preparing them to be competitive in a dynamic and ever-changing world.

The statement confirmed that 20 secondary schools and colleges have been selected to participate in the preliminary stage of the competition, which starts today in Kabba.

The organizers also urged the management of these schools to provide maximum support for their students and called on the general public to assist in the successful hosting of the inaugural BEBM Exhibitions and Arch. Salman Idris’ quiz competition.
