As Congrqtulatory Messages, felicitations and Goodwill Messages from Well-meaning Nigerians from all walks of live,Continue to trip in Over the the nomination, Confirmation and the Subsequent Inuaguration of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe as the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Monday October 4, 2024, at the Banquet hall of the State House , a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Who is also the Immediate past Chairman of Bassa Local Government area of Plateau State , Hon. Engr Stephen Igumala has also expressed his felicitations Over the Inuaguration of Prof. Nentawe.

Speaking to our Correspondent at a grand reception in Honour of Prof.Nentawe Yilwada Shortly, after his Inuaguration as Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Engr. Stephen said the appointment of Yilwada has rekindled their hope and also Strengthen their believe in the Renewed Hope Administration of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal Government, pointing out that it has also embolden the teaming members of the All Progressives Congress on the Plateau.

” There was a time we almost felt that the federal government has forgotten we the All Progressives Congress, (APC) members on the Plateau , but to God be the glory, we are Very elated that the President found one of our most hardworking Politician on the Plateau and appointed him as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation”

Continuing, Hon. Stephen Stated that they are quite appreciative of the gesture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging the fact that the Man who was appointed is quite deserving of the Ministry Considering his antecedent of track records of excellent performance and the delivery of public good in positions he previously held, he also noted that a lot of Nigerians has applauded Mr President for appointing Prof. Nantawe Yilwada to Man such a Ministry, further Stressing that the People of Plateau State are so elated that Mr President has brought them back into the Federal Executive Council with the best hand to do the job, he prayed almighty God to direct the Minister as he pilot the affairs of the Ministry.

Reacting to question from journalists on his Confidence on Prof. Nantawe’s Competence and Capacity to deliver Public good Considering the the Sensitive nature of the Ministry and the fact that it t is a very demanding and tasking Ministry ,Hon. Stephen referenced a Statement earlier made by Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko, the Senator representing Delta north Senatorial District during the Screening and Confirmation of the newly nominated ministers at the red Chambers of the National Assembly,who described the appointment of Prof. Nentawe Yilwada by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the best appointment made by the President, Corroborating Sen.Ned Nwoko’s Statement, the former Council Boss akin Prof. Nantawe’s appointment as placing a round peg in a round hole, assured that within Six months Nigerians will notice the new hand in the Ministry.

 

Commenting on the State and the Strength of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, Considering the fact that, the party lost the State to the Opposition in the 2023 Governorship election , Hon. Igumala said the Party Still remain Strong and United and may likely take back the State in 2027.

He further Stressed that, the undemocratic manner in which the rulling People’s Democratic party in the State Conducted the recent Local Government Elections has Shown their Weakness and Vulnerability in a free and fair Contest, he said due to fear of defeat, elections materials were not distributed to Virtually all the polling Stations in the State among other irregularities that was witnessed, he added.
