In a congratulatory message made available to journalists shortly after the inauguration ceremony, Hon. Umar Muhammed described Shekwolo’s re-election as a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust the people of Kuje Area Council have in his leadership.
According to him, the overwhelming support that earned the chairman a second term was a testament to the remarkable achievements recorded during his first tenure and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

“The people of Kuje have once again spoken with one voice by renewing the mandate of Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo. This victory and inauguration are not only a personal achievement for him but also a reflection of the confidence the people have in his ability to deliver quality leadership and good governance,” Umar stated.

He noted that the chairman’s first tenure was characterized by significant developmental projects and people-centered policies that positively impacted the lives of residents across the area council.

“Over the years, we have witnessed remarkable progress in different sectors of the council. His administration has demonstrated commitment to development, inclusiveness, and the overall wellbeing of the people. It is therefore not surprising that the electorate chose to entrust him with another term in office,” he said.

The youth leader further emphasized that the second inauguration represents an opportunity for the chairman to consolidate on the gains already recorded and introduce more initiatives that would accelerate growth and development in the area council.

“This second term presents another opportunity to deepen the developmental strides already achieved. I am confident that Hon. Shekwolo will continue to work tirelessly to improve infrastructure, strengthen social services, and create more opportunities for the people, especially the youths,” he added.

Hon. Umar Muhammed also called on residents of Kuje Area Council, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious affiliations, to support the administration in its efforts to move the council forward.

He stressed the importance of unity, peace, and collective responsibility in achieving sustainable development, urging all stakeholders to work together in the interest of the area council.

“Development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and unity. I therefore appeal to residents, community leaders, youth groups, women organizations, and other stakeholders to continue supporting the chairman and his administration as they embark on another four years of service to the people,” he said.

The Arewa Youths Council Chairman further urged the council boss to initiate programmes and policies that would promote youth empowerment, economic growth, and social cohesion across the various communities within the council area.

“As a representative of the youth constituency, I encourage the chairman to place greater emphasis on youth development, job creation, skills acquisition, and empowerment programmes. Our young people are eager to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Kuje, and they deserve every opportunity to succeed,” he remarked.

He concluded by wishing the chairman a successful and impactful second tenure, expressing optimism that the administration would deliver more democratic dividends and leave behind a lasting legacy of progress and development.

“On behalf of the Arewa Youths Council, Kuje Area Council Chapter, I warmly congratulate Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo on his inauguration for a second term. We pray for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he continues to serve the people. We are confident that the best is yet to come for Kuje Area Council,” Umar Muhammed stated.
