“We must ensure we continue to record growth across all facets of our society. Celebrating women isn’t just the right thing to do, recognizing their immense contributions and impact is necessary for growth and sustainable development,” he said.

Hon. Michael noted that the occasion underscored the urgency of addressing persistent inequalities and barriers that hinder women from realizing their full potential.

He called on stakeholders, government, civil society organisations, the private sector, and individuals to work collaboratively in accelerating the actions needed to close the gender gap.

The celebration recognizes the immense contributions of women to national development and serves as a reminder of the essential role they play in shaping societies and driving progress.
