He disclosed this in a chat with our correspondent at the National Assembly, Abuja where he said emphatically that the long overdue project will surely see the light of the day with the current administration.
He wondered why some people think he will not support a developmental initiative that will further generate employment and expand the development strategy of the senatorial district, added that the bill was worked on at the 8th, and 9th Senate at different times hence what is more important now is to lobby the presidency for assent.
Senator Karimi said as the representative of the district in the National Assembly and Kabba being the senatorial headquarters why would he not work hard to see to the realization of the project, pointing out that he would be the happiest and most fulfilled politician if the project is achieved within his tenure.
He further said that people should disregard the malicious lies as his main focus is to facilitate as many projects as possible to the senatorial district like the ongoing remodeling of GSS, Koton Karfe worth 1.2 billion naira, the rehabilitation /reconstruction of Kabba – Egbe – Ilorin, Kabba – Omu and Aiyegunle – Kiri – Eggan roads, solar power panels across all communities in the district, the donation of the military forward operation based in Egbe handed over to the Army authority recently, disbursement of 100m naira grant to women cooperative Societies, 100 million naira for students bursary scheme aside those that have gotten employment in different agencies of government.
He said his doors are open to welcome as many possible good ideas, initiatives and criticism that will help move the senatorial district forward instead of spreading unfounded rumours just to discredit him in the face of the people who went all out to vote for him during the election in 2023.
He assured the people that he would continue to work assiduously in providing qualitative representation for the district and also bring back dividends of democracy being the purpose he was voted for.
