The sudden passing of the father of Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has sent shockwaves across the state, with condolence messages pouring in from various quarters. While the loss is undoubtedly painful, many are commending the life well-lived by the late patriarch, particularly in producing a son who has risen to the esteemed position of governor.

Idris Miliki Abdul, Executive Director of Conscience for Human Rights and Conflicts Resolution (CHRCR) in Lokoja, Kogi State, condoled with the governor, his family, and the people of Kogi State.

“We came from God, and to Him, we shall all return,” Abdul noted, adding that while death marks the end of human life, the legacy of a life well-spent can be a source of comfort.

The CHRCR executive director prayed that the soul of the departed would rest in peace, wishing the family strength during this difficult period.

The governor’s achievement in public service is seen as a testament to the values instilled in him by his family.

As the state mourns the loss of the governor’s father, there is also a sense of gratitude for the life he lived and the impact he had through his son.

The people of Kogi State and beyond join in offering their condolences to Governor Ododo and his family, praying for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.

May the family find solace in cherished memories and the knowledge that their loved one’s legacy lives on through his children
