Ijumu ADC Warns Desperate Coalition: “Leke Abejide Remains Our Undisputed Leader”

The Iyamoye/Igbopin/Okealuju Ward of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), onbehalf of the entire Ijumu Local Government ADC has firmly disassociated itself from the purported suspension of Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide Joseph, describing the move as a failed coup by political desperados and impostors with no legitimacy within the party.

Speaking during a ward meeting held on August 5, 2025, the ward leader, Otunba Duro Olusegun Aseremaseka, condemned the actions of Kingsley Oggah and John Adaji, calling for their immediate arrest and prosecution for impersonation and attempted destabilization of the party in Ijumu LGA.

According to the ward, those parading themselves as a “coalition” are nothing more than power-hungry individuals of questionable character, acting outside the constitution and spirit of the ADC. “These people do not speak for us. They are not recognized. They are not ADC,” Aseremaseka declared.

The ward reaffirmed its full and unwavering loyalty to Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide, whom they described as the authentic and only national leader of the ADC, commending his continued support for the people — including his payment of WAEC fees — even after the political betrayals of the last election.

“We are proud of our leader. He is focused on development, not drama. Our loyalty is to Leke Abejide alone, not to any self-imposed coalition of grabbers,” the ward stated.

Ijumu ADC has spoken: no room for impostors. The party in the LGA stands solidly behind Leke Abejide — the face and future of the ADC.
