IJUMU LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN AND ALGON CHAIRMAN DIRECTS OLUJUMU TO CAUTION SOME AYERE TRADITIONAL CHIEFS AND PRESIDENT AYERE DEVELOPMENT UNION

The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area,Hon. Taufiq Isa has directed the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom,HRM Olusegun Ayeni to caution the people of Ayere and her Traditional Council on some of their defence and responses over the suspension of Hon. Kilani Olumo from Kogi State House of Assembly.

It is therefore imperative for His Royal Majesty, the Olujumu of Ijumu to call these people to order as their actions are capable of staining the image of Ijumu people.

He noted a situation where the Traditional Council Chiefs is going about threatening the peace loving APC members who have unparallel loyalty to the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. This attitude is not acceptable to the office of the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area. We will not allow a situation where a group of people will continue to stain the image of Ijumu people based on His Excellency discharging his responsibility as the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the competent House of Assembly.

As the Chief Security officer of Ijumu LGA, Alhaji Yahaya Bello assured all citizenry of Ijumu to go about their lawful businesses without any fear or intimidation.

The Chairman also assured that anyone involved in terrorism will be dealt with decisively in line with the laws of the land. He recalled the huge amount expended so far on incessant cases of terrorism and kidnapping in Ayere over the years and the huge amount of money it has cost the Local Government in restoring peace to the Area.

Furthermore, the Executive Chairman has directed the Law Enforcement Agencies to place on red alert those who are hellbent in causing breakdown in the Local Government. Most especially media practitioner (Journalists) working with the government.

As a proactive Administration,he admonished all well-meaning Kogites to support His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the task of building a new Kogi of our dreams.

E-signed:
Hon. Taufiq Isa,
Executive Chairman and Kogi State ALGON Chairman
