Iluhagba Community Receives 500 KVA Transformer from Mangal Industries Ltd. 40 Years After the First One
Mangal Industries Ltd has commissioned a 500KVA, 33kV/415V transformer capable of powering over 350 houses.

The transformer donated and installed in Iluhagba-Gbede community in Ijumu LGA, Kogi State, has 4 service units; 2 are currently in service, while 2 are reserved for future expansion to enhance electricity supply to one of its host communities.
The well-attended commissioning ceremony was attended by the traditional ruler, Oba Samuel Olayemi, community members, and staff of Mangal Industries Ltd
Speaking for the company, Dr. Umar Musa, General Manager Administration and Human Resources, said Mangal Industries Ltd prioritizes strong community relationships and fulfills its social responsibilities to positively impact host communities.

He said the organisation is working hard to continue supporting the community and improving their livelihood, aiming for a win-win situation for both the company and the host community.
He said many more good things are in store for the community, urging them to continue supporting and cooperating with the company.


Also speaking at the event, the community monarch, Oba Samuel Olayemi, praised Mangal Industries Ltd for donating and installing a 500KVA transformer to bridge the energy gap in Iluhagba-Gbede community.
He recalled that Prince Olushola Akanmode had donated a transformer to the community in 1986, which had been their only one, and expressed gratitude that it was during his reign as Olu of Iluhagba that the community was being blessed again.
He nostalgically acknowledged the cordial relationship between Iluhagba and Mangal Industries, which has brought numerous benefits, noting that a solar-powered borehole was commissioned a few weeks ago, in addition to three existing ones.


The monarch praised the chairman, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, Managing Director Engr Fahad Mangal, General Manager Administration and Human Resources Dr. Umar Musa, and other management staff for their kindness to the community.
The Iluhagba Community Secretary, Elder Samuel Komolafe, appreciated the company’s management, commending their kind gesture and praying that God enables the organisation to grow in all areas.
He said it’s a well-thought-out initiative for the company to donate and install the transformer to enhance electricity supply, and stressed that the community will continue supporting their efforts.
While addressing the press after the commissioning, Community Liaison Officer Hon. Dare Osawu said he’s glad to have mediated the initiative, noting that with patience and cooperation, the community will benefit more.
