INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE BOY CHILD 2025:Yargote Foundation Calls for Attention Shift To The Boy Child.

As Nigerians joins her Counterparts all over the World to Commemorates the International Day of the Boy Child 2025, the Yargote foundation has called on parents, Government and Stakeholders in Nigeria on the need for priotizing the welfare of the Boy Child.
Speaking to the Media, Friday, May 16th,2025, at the federal Secretariat, federal Capital Territory,Abuja after a road Show, aimed at Sensitizing and Creating public awareness on the Significance of the Day, the Executive Director/ Founder of the Yargote Foundation,Mrs Anna Hussein Pai, emphasized that the Boy Child deserved more than what he had gotten from the Society, including parents whose attention has been on the Girl Child over the years.
She advocated for more attention be given to the Boy Child to salvage the Society from the disturbing and menacing occurrences currently witnessed in Nigeria and the World due to the disproportionate attention the Boy Child had received from the Society.
According to Anna Pai, the boy Child has suffered neglect from not only parents, the Boy Child had been a victim of neglect both from Home and International Government, and that the effects of this has a dangerous consequence to our society, so, now their ought to be a shift of attention so that future leaders and fathers Should live up to their billing, Pai said.
Here her, ” most of the social ills we see in our Society today are being perpetrated by the Boy Child, Armed Robbery, Substance abuse, rape , Kidnapping for ramsom, Cyber Crime and other disturbing misbehaviors are found mostly amongst the Boy Child”.
She said the road Show Commemorating the International day of the Boy Child was intended to Spark up discussions and Conversation on the imperatives to draw the attention and focus of the Society to the Boy Child so that the Challenges affecting the Boy Child Could be addressed.
According to the founder and Executive Director, the 2025, International Day for the Boy Child, themed,” Empower a Boy Child Today” was a wake up Call for all Governmental institutions, Non-governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Parents and Individuals to Channel resources and energy towards birthing a Society where the Boy Child could have a sense of belonging for better leadership in our Country, Society and our homes.
“We are currently embarking on a Six months Intervention programs for the Boy Child ,and it’s Community based, where we teach them about Values Goals,it involves Skills acquisition of Various kinds and Mentorship Programs, Community engagement so that they will know their purpose in live.
