Jigawa govt buys private university for N11 billion Education.

The Jigawa State Government has officially approved the acquisition of Khadija University, a privately owned institution in Majia town, for the sum of N11 billion.
This was confirmed by the state’s spokesperson, Sagir Ahmed, following a state executive council meeting.
The acquisition is part of the government’s 12-point agenda aimed at improving access to education in Jigawa State.
As part of the agreement, the government will initially pay 40% of the total amount, which is N4.07 billion, with the remaining 60% to be paid in two instalments.
This move highlights the state’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for its citizens.
