Jos Izere Chiefdom Loses Village Head

The Traditional Council of Jos Izere Chiefdom in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has lost one of the village heads within the chiefdom.
Adagwom Michael Azi Ajiji, until his demise, was the Village Head of Ishong Agwom, Jos Jarawa District, Jos Izere Chiefdom.

He was born on 8th December 1947 into the family of the late Ada Ajiji Kaze of Jos Jarawa and the late Ayisa Akumbo of Kebeng, Federe District of Jos East Local Government Area.
He was deeply rooted in his heritage and was raised with a strong appreciation for the culture and traditions of the Afizere people.
Late Adagwom was one of the founding fathers of the Asharwa Dancers. He was among those who travelled to various countries during the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
He joined the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning on 8th November 1977 and retired in December 2012, leaving behind a legacy of diligence and responsibility.
In his spiritual journey, Adagwom Michael was nurtured in the traditions of his ancestors before accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour. He received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Matrimony, and lived his later years in faith and devotion.
The late royal father was buried at his palace in Ishong Agwom Village, Jos Jarawa District.
The burial rites were conducted by traditional rulers and royal flutists who spent the night in preparation for the final interment.
The traditional rulers of Jos Izere Chiefdom were led by His Royal Highness, Ada Emmanuel Ajik, Adagwom Jos Izere Chiefdom, his district heads, village heads and ward heads.
The condolence message was delivered by Adagwom Kaze Nyam, the District Head of Dong. Uncles of the deceased blessed the family.
