Jubilation Across Ijumu as INEC Clears MOY for the 2027 General Elections

There is widespread jubilation across Ijumu as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases the list of cleared candidates for the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The confirmation of Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY) as the duly cleared candidate for the Ijumu State Constituency II election has been greeted with excitement, celebration and renewed hope by supporters and well-wishers across the constituency.

Speaking on the overwhelming response that followed the release of the list, MOY said:

“As soon as the list was released, I started receiving calls from different people congratulating me. Although I am the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), one thing that particularly surprised me was the fact that a considerable number of the calls I received came from members of other political parties, especially from the ruling party.”

According to him, the development is a clear indication that the growing support for his candidacy goes beyond political party affiliations.

“This shows clearly that the love for my candidacy transcends party lines. The people are looking beyond party platforms and are increasingly interested in credible leadership, capacity, competence and effective representation. I am deeply humbled by the love and confidence the people of Ijumu have continued to demonstrate.”

MOY assured the people of Ijumu State Constituency II that the overwhelming support being expressed across party lines would further strengthen his commitment to the cause of the people.

He noted that the 2027 election presents another opportunity for the people to unite behind a shared vision of purposeful representation, grassroots development and a stronger voice for the constituency.

The political atmosphere across Ijumu, according to supporters, reflects a growing belief that MOY represents a new dawn and a credible alternative for effective representation in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

With his candidacy now officially cleared, the excitement across the constituency continues to grow, as many residents express confidence that the journey towards 2027 has entered a new and decisive phase.

MOY! The Right Voice for Ijumu State Assembly ll.
