Jubilation in Jos: As Plateau Governor Elect, Mutfwang receives Certificate.
The Plateau State Governor elect Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has called on those candidates from other political parties who Contested with him in the just concluded concluded election which he emerged winner.
Like the popular Shakespeare play “Macbeth” said where shall we met again “When The Battle Is Lost And Won”, said in every contest there is winner and loser.
The Governor elect on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Caleb Mutfwang made the appeal today 30th March 2023 during the collection of certificate of return as the governor and the state house of Assembly held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), headquarters in the state.
Mutfwang said the presentation of certificate of return to respective candidates who emerged winner in the Governor /house of Assembly elections has being to conclusion of the electoral process as far as the commission is concern.
He reiterated INEC action on the plateau has conducted itself honourably, the reason why we are here today which signifies bringing the electoral process to logical conclusion according to law.
However thank God for bringing the whole processes up to this point where certificate of return is being awarded to respective winners.
Stressed that his administration is using the transition period to reposition ourselves appropriately in readiness ahead of May 29th 2023 handling over so that we hit the ground running.
Mutfang reiterated him promise not to disgrace the people of plateau state for the trust bestowed on me by giving me their mandate.
He however promised to live by the promise made to the people of the state during the electioneering campaign and kept it.
Those who received certificate of return along with the Governor elect, were 24 members of the state house of Assembly, with PDP having majority of 16 members, APC 7, and YPP 1.
