Just In: Kebbi State Government Approves N75,000 Minimum Wage for Civil Servants

On October 24, 2024

The Government of Kebbi State, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Nasir Idris has approved a new minimum wage of N75,000 for all categories of civil servants in the state.

This decision is set to take effect from October 2024.

The approval was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmad Idris, in Birnin Kebbi, the State Capital.

The move to increase the minimum wage comes as a direct response to the economic challenges currently facing the people of Kebbi State.

The statement highlighted that Governor Idris has directed the Ministry of Finance to facilitate the immediate payment of the new minimum wage to all workers in the state within 72 hours.
