Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing Hon. Samson Bako has assured the public the readiness of the Kogi State Government to give urgent palliative attention to the deplorable parts of the Ganaja road, Lokoja.
Bako gave this assurance today in Lokoja while receiving in courtesy the executives of the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) Ganaja Branch in Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
The Association in their request asked the State Government to come to their aid in rehabilitating the badly affected parts of the Ganaja Road, stressing that if urgent attention is not taken, vehicles would not be able to ply the road in the next one month.
Responding, Bako noted that Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello CON has directed his office to deploy Kogi State Road Management Agency (KOGROMA) for immediate palliative work on this Federal Road.
He also remarked that the effort of the Gov. Bello in infrastructural development has proven him a centre of reference adding that the palliative work on the road as requested would become a thing of history.
Finally, the chairman of the Association Mr. Ahmed Sadiq extended his appreciation to the State Government for the quick response promised.
