Kabba/Bunu Monarch Stands Firm on Security Resolutions
The Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi, has reaffirmed his commitment to the resolutions of a recent security meeting, emphasizing that the positions taken were advisory.
The monarch expressed disappointment at the misrepresentation of the meeting’s resolutions, which aimed to enhance security measures for churches and other worship centres in Kabba/Bunu LGA of Kogi State.
Oba Owoniyi distanced himself from statements circulating in the public, saying their priority is the safety and security of the people.
He clarified that churches and mosques were advised to implement adequate security measures or consider closing temporarily to prevent harm to members.
“If a church or mosques lacks capacity to provide security, wisdom dictates they allow members to stay home until security improves,” he stated.
The monarch emphasized that closure of worship centers wasn’t mandated, but a call for prudent measures to safeguard congregants.
