KANO APC AMBASSADORS VOICED ITS CONCERNS AGAINST ALLOWING INTERNAL DIVISION TO IMPACT THE PARTY’S COHESION – Hon. Bala Dawakin Kudu

The political landscape within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano is witnessing heightened tensions following the recent dismissal of former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo.

The group APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments has publicly voiced its concerns about the unfolding situation, cautioning party leaders in Kano against allowing internal divisions to impact the party’s cohesion.

This group, under the leadership of Hon. Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, expressed dissatisfaction with Gwarzo’s recent public statements about his dismissal, viewing them as counterproductive and potentially divisive. They also warned that this internal discord, if not promptly addressed, could affect the APC’s chances in Kano State for the 2027 elections.

APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments further underscored that various factions within the APC in Kano are deepening the rift. Some members allege that Gwarzo’s removal was influenced by internal political maneuvering, with fingers pointed at Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin.

These allegations have caused concern among certain APC supporters who feel that former gubernatorial candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna or a youth mobilizer like Murtala Sule Garo would have been more suitable for the ministerial role.

The group urged both the APC National Leadership and key stakeholders such as President Bola Tinubu, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to consider grassroots members who feel neglected by elected officials. They also called for the inclusion of individuals like Alhaji Aminu Dabo, A.A. Zaura, and Muntari Ishaq in political appointments to acknowledge their dedication and contributions.

Hon. Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu applauded Senator Jibrin’s efforts to maintain party unity in Kano, particularly in his support for local-level leadership. However, the group appealed for further outreach to grassroots members across the 44 local governments, emphasizing that these members’ loyalty and support are essential for the APC’s success in future elections.

Hon. Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, State Chairman of APC Ambassadors 44 Local Governments, has passionately appealed to Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin to recognize the dedication and efforts of the group in supporting and strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State. Hon. Bala expressed the group’s commitment to the party’s mission, stating that its members have been working tirelessly across all 44 local governments to promote party unity, loyalty, and engagement at the grassroots level.

In his appeal, Hon. Bala urged both the National leadership under Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau, to extend their support to APC Ambassadors. He highlighted that the group has been instrumental in maintaining the strength and stability of the APC within Kano, ensuring that members remain informed and committed to the party’s ideals.

“We have been unwavering in our dedication to enlightening and mobilizing APC members throughout the state, encouraging them to stay loyal and active in the party. As we move forward with our mission, we are taking steps to open offices in each of the 44 local governments to strengthen our presence and increase accessibility for our members,” Hon. Bala stated.

He called upon Senator Barau to support the group’s ambitious initiative, emphasizing the need for resources to make it a reality. “With your support, we can enhance our impact by securing essential resources, including mobility for outreach, office rentals, and other necessary support for setting up these offices,” he appealed.

Hon. Bala’s request underscores the APC Ambassadors’ commitment to advancing the party’s influence at the grassroots level and ensuring that the APC remains a strong political force across Kano State. By opening local government offices, the group aims to foster a deeper connection between the party’s leadership and its grassroots supporters, enhancing communication and strengthening the party’s foundation in preparation for future electoral victories.
