The electorates were urged not to listen to those people who laid the foundation of retrogressive policies ab initio that have bedeviled the country, which the All Progressive Congress is out to correct.
Speaking at the different places, Hon. Sunday Karimi said Kabba community is the headquarters of Okun nation and Kogi West as such they should support the right thing by supporting him, a Yagba candidate ahead of others who are only out for personal aggrandizement, stressing that it is time to let go the senatorial seat which has hitherto remained in the Federal Constituency for close to 16yrs.
He said the PDP is aware that Kogi/Lokoja Federal Constituency only spent eight years and handed over to Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu, and for sixteen years it remained there yet they decided to still hand down their ticket to another person from the same place that already spent 16yrs; “is that fairness, equity and justice?”, he asked.
He admonished the people of Kabba (Owe) to once again strengthen the brotherhood of their togetherness as Okun nation by putting aside every sentiment and vote massively for the ruling All Progressive Congress (Yagba) as that will create a great opportunity to recreate our world of one love and development.
The Chairman of Kabba/Bunu local government area, Hon Moses Olorunleke opined that the that the opposition has no good records that will encourage the electorate in the community to trust them again, while stressing that the current occupant of the Federal Constituency seat is more or less a waste because he could not facilitate tangible developments to the area on account of party difference.
He appealed to the people to vote enmass for the party from top to bottom for the area to enjoy maximum benefit of their votes. He noted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu possess the cognate experience and expertise to take the country to another level of development as his performances and template for Lagos is a shining example of his ability and capacity.
Also speaking, the candidate for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Matthew Kolawole said voting APC from top to bottom will do the area a lot of good in terms of development. He pointed out that everyone in the country knows the capacity of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to turn things around for the overall benefit of the citizens.
He said there is a need for concerted efforts for the federal Constituency to join the league of the progressives as it will be too expensive to allow that not to happen, pointing out that the time is now to vote out the opposition party who have held sway without any meaningful impact since 1999.
