Kogi ’23: Ododo Storms Kogi West, Gets Royal Blessings
……. As Ijumu Stakeholders Promise Victory for APC.

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for November 11th governorship election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) has today stormed Kogi West Senatorial District with his campaign team where he met several traditional rulers and stalwarts across party lines.
This is as opinion leaders and party stakeholders of Okun extraction restated their commitment to ensuring overwhelming victory for the gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The development followed the visit of the candidate and other party stalwarts to the palace of the traditional ruler of the Ijumu Land, the Olujumu, His Royal Majesty, Oba William Olusegun Ayeni on Saturday.
Taking turns, the party stalwarts, led by the Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Taofiq Isah, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Sunday Faleke, among others.
HRM, Oba Ayeni who is the Chairman Ijumu Traditional Council extolled the virtues of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, stressing that he is eminently qualified to vie for the position of the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
In the APC candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s remarks, he extolled the Ijumu Traditional institution for their uprightness, stating that his mission to govern Kogi State is to also ensure the traditional institution in state meet the needs and aspiration of their people in the mainstream of governance.
He further expressed gratitude to the royal fathers for embracing his candidacy just as he reaffirmed his readiness and never to betray the trust reposed in him if elected.
Ododo promised to consolidate on the visible gains and achievements of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, who in the last seven years has prioritised the state traditional institution by upgrading their traditional stools and benefits accrued to them.
Also present at the palace of Olujumu for the August gathering were the serving Commissioners, appointees of Kogi state government of Okun extraction, party stalwarts and faithfuls.
The APC candidate later proceeded on a courtesy visit to Chief Abiodun Ojo, a PDP Chieftain in Ijumu LGA who also declared his support for Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman for the forthcoming November election.
Another point of Alh Ododo’s visit was the palace of the Ologidi of Ogidi Kingdom, HRH. Alh. R. O Sule, Chairman of GYB Connect in Ijumu Local Government Area, Chief Arogundade (APS), house of the present Chairman of National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr O. S Thomas, Hon. Osaseyi Richard, the Managing Director of Kogi State Signage and Advertising Agency, Alhaji Lamidi who is also a stalwart in Ijumu LGA.
The tour ended with a rousing reception at the resident of Hon Taofiq Isah, the Executive Chairman of Ijumu LGA who doubles as the Kogi State ALGON Chairman. HRH Abdulganiu Isah, the Olu of Odokoro offered prayers for the candidate and appreciated the security conscious Executive Chairman for creating a peaceful atmosphere for all political activities to thrive in the Local Government Area.
