Kogi Central is Proud of You, Ododo Hails Sen. Ohere

The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2023 Governorship Poll in Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Ododo has hailed the Senator representing Kogi Central in the Red Chambers, Sen. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere as a “great representative of the people”.

The Governorship Candidate gave the commendation, Thursday, during a visit to the Senator in his Office at The Senate. He said the people of Kogi Central are proud of his purposeful and dynamic representation so far.

His words: “It is no surprise that you are making us proud in the Senate. You did it in the state and now you are replicating that through your great strides in the Senate so far. The people are proud of you..

“You have given your Senatorial District a loud voice on the floor and that is the reason all of us are supporting you to continue your strides here”, he said.

Alh. Ododo urged the Senator to devote a lot to supporting agriculture in his District, saying the Kogi Central people are predominantly hardworking farmers.

“We are predominantly hardworking farmers in Kogi Central, therefore, we urge you to support efforts at strengthening rural farming through legislations and interventions that will enhance the capacity of our rural farmers. We also expect you to support the efforts of the Governor at attracting the Federal Ministry of Works to attend to Federal Roads across the state.

“The resuscitation of the Ajaokuta Steel Company is a priority for the Kogi people. Lobby your colleagues and the executive to make sure it comes alive so as to make our nation great again”.

Alh. Ododo also commended the Senate President for creating a peaceful atmosphere for Senators to function, saying the former Governor has displayed exceptional leadership in enhancing the integrity and performance of the institution.

He also called on the Senator to join his colleagues in supporting the reforms of the Tinubu Administration, saying the President is working hard to renew the hopes of Nigerians.

In his response, the Senator thanked the Governorship candidate for the visit, assuring him and the Kogi Central people of his commitment to continue to deliver democracy dividends to the people.

“The reason I am here is to serve the Kogi Central people and serve I will”.
