Kogi Central TAON, Pensioners, Labour Leaders Promise Block Votes for Ododo

…. As Comrade Fancy receives defectors from PDP

By Fancy Media Team (FMT)

As the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 11th governorship election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) continues to garner more endorsement and support across Kogi State, the amalgamated association of pensioners, civil servants and members of Tricycle Association of Nigeria (TAON) in Kogi Central Senatorial District have openly declared their readiness to ensure victory for the party.

Their endorsement followed a special consultation visit by an ally of the APC candidate, Comrade Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege (Fancy) who expressed delight at their burning desires and commitment to the development of Kogi State.

While presenting customized stickers and other campaign paraphernalia to Comrade Fancy, the transporters said they are desirous of the continuation of the conducive atmosphere enjoyed by them in the last seven years of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration. They added that security which is key to the success of their business was guaranteed and would want Alhaji Ododo to continue in that trajectory of securing Kogi State when he assumes office next year.

Similarly, pensioners and other labour leaders who spoke at the various meetings also commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the civil service reforms embarked upon by his administration.

While calling for an improved welfare package for staff of Okehi Local Government Area and other councils in Kogi State, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Okehi, Comrade Michael A. Momoh said Governor Yahaya Bello has laid a solid foundation for the incoming administration of Alhaji Ododo to thrive and ensure more productivity at the grassroots.

Other speakers at the meeting were Comrade Pelemo A. I. R who was the former chairman of NULGE, former Secretary to Local Government and presently Secretary to the traditional council. Also at the meeting were Sanni O. Umar and Mrs. Muhammad Barikisu.

In a related development, Comrade Fancy attended the Okaito/Usungwe Ward meeting where he received defectors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The defectors who promised to deliver block votes for the All Progressives Congress, especially in Okaito/Usungwe Ward expressed confidence in the capacity of Alhaji Ododo to consolidate on the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello.

“Comrade Fancy is our own, and we will follow and support him to ensure victory for his principal, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman. We will deliver the highest vote ever recorded for the APC in the forthcoming governorship election”, they promised.
