KOGI DEPUTY GOV CONDOLES BARR. MUHAMMED ATABA SANI-OMONORI OVER LOSS OF MOTHER

October 18, 2024

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the former Clerk of the National Assembly, Barrister Muhammed Ataba Sani Omonori, on the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Sefinatu Mohammed Sani Omolori. She peacefully departed in the early hours of Tuesday, the 15th of October, at the age of 85 after a brief illness.

During his visit to the family compound on Lafia road in Okene Local Government Area, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu acknowledged the significant loss that the family, Kogi State, and the nation have suffered due to the demise of the revered mother. He highlighted her invaluable contributions to the country’s progress and development.

While recognizing that the late Queen Sefinatu lived a rich and rewarding life, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu emphasized her legacy as a compassionate and nurturing mother who raised sons and daughters that have made lasting achievements in both the state and the nation as a whole.

In his prayers, Joel Salifu beseeched God to grant the departed soul eternal peace and to provide the grieving family with the strength to endure the irreparable loss.

The late Queen Sefinatu, was one of the wives of the late Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in the former Kwara State, now Kogi State, Alhaji Dr. Mohammed Sani Omolori, who reigned for more than four decades. She was laid to rest on Tuesday, the 15th of October, in Okene following Islamic rites. She is survived by numerous relatives and children, including Mohammed Sani Omolori Ataba, a former Clerk of the National Assembly and holder of the revered traditional title of Ciroma of Ebiraland.
