Kogi Deputy Gov Urges Kogi East Stakeholders To Maintain Team Spirit Ahead of 2027 Polls
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has called on the stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East to maintain teamwork and unity in preparation for the 2027 polls.
The Deputy Governor made the call when he received the House of Assembly Member elect for Okura state Constituency, Hassan Sado and party leaders, in his office today in lokoja. He emphasized the importance of speaking in one voice for the 2027 polls.
He congratulated the newly elected Member on his victory and urged him to remain dedicated to the ideals of the APC, while commending the people of Okura Constituency and all stakeholders for their efforts in securing victory for the candidate in the last Saturday by-election.

Joel Salifu called for continued focus and unity in order to ensure success in the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the 2027 general and gubernatorial election in Kogi East.
He praised Governor Ododo for fostering an enabling environment for the successful conduct of the elections, and positioning the party advantageously through impactful projects and commendable policies. According to him, the victory is a collective efforts, and urged the member-elect to carry along his constituents in his Legislative functions.
Ealier while setting the tone for the meeting, the Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area, John Urah Ikani, alongside the Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the APC, Ogwu Abdul Alhassan, said that the purpose of their visit was to express gratitude to the Governor and his Deputy for ensuring the success of the electoral exercise over the weekend and to present the Certificate of Return obtained from the INEC.
On his part, the member representing Ofu constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Shehu Seidu Amodu, encouraged the member-elect to remain loyal to the party’s leadership in the state.
The member-elect, Hassan Sado, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, his Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu, and other stakeholders in the state for their maximum support. He pledged to remain faithful to the party and to provide exemplary representation for his constituents.
