Kogi State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu has urged Council Chairmen, Vice Chairpersons, and legislative council leaders to embody humility and adopt an open-door policy in executing their duties.

He encouraged leaders to mirror Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s humility and maintain grassroots connections for a unified political landscape.

Leaders were reminded to uphold their inauguration oath to maintain peace and harmony within the council.

Salifu further encouraged female vice chairpersons and council leaders to intensify efforts in proportional representation, highlighting Governor Ododo’s commitment to increasing female participation in governance

A stern warning was issued against establishing alternative structures outside the existing framework, emphasizing Governor Ododo’s leadership qualities and the need for emulation.

Hon. Mikhail Suleiman Mohammed, Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the APC, urged elected council leaders to welcome and accommodate new or former members rejoining the party. He stressed the need for victory in the upcoming election and advocated for inclusivity within the party.

The meeting establishes the commitment of Kogi State Government to good governance as it aligns with Governor Ododo’s prosperous vision for the state
