Kogi East 2027; PDP Muhammed Abdullahi “Elephant” Tours Kogi East Senatorial District

The Nine Local Government Areas comprising of Idah, Ankpa , Olamaboro, Omala, Bassa, Dekina , Ofu , Igala -Mela and Ibaji coming last with a visit to PDP members and loyalists in Kogi East by PDP Senatorial aspirant, Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant on a consultation and subsequent adoption.
The immediate impact of this tour to the nine local government areas was the revival of the party and the renewed vigor, with which people are trooping to the party through defections, show of loyalty, solidarity and strong acceptance of the winning PDP in the previous elections, and the need to reclaim and demonstrate it towards the 2027 general elections.

With the ruling party battling to field a candidate out of confusion including other leading opposition African Democratic Party, ADC , among many otherscin the Eastern Senatorial district, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, of Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant has adopted him for the next 2027 general elections for Senate of Kogi East seamlessly .
This was evidenced with high hope and reception by party members who had lost hope in the revival of the former ruling party , the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, with the entrance of Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant as the party’s senatorial aspirant that was greeted with loud ovation in Ugwolawo, headquarters of Ofu local government.
The wednesday journey which took the PDP Senatorial aspirant to Ofu , Igala mela, Ibaji local government areas attracted large numbers of supporters which included the Zonal Chairman of People’s Democratic, Party PDP,Kogi East, Hon Igagwu Idris that led to the adoption forthwith, of Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant as the preferred and adopted candidate for PDP in the Senatorial election coming 2027.
The Zonal Chairman, Igagwu Idris thanked party stakeholders for the outright decision, stating that it will reduce rancor among interested party members for the Senate , particularly as the party is going through reconciliation, reorganisation and rejigging.
With the adoption of party’s Senatorial aspirant as the next candidate for PDP in ofu, idah was a blast where the state financial secretary Mr. Paul Ukwenya alongside the PDP Chairman of Idah LGA, Comrade Umar , Hon. Ismail Aruwa , the immediate past youth leader of the PDP, North Central zone all welcomed him.
While in Idah , the party members also replicated ofu decision in Idah PDP, in a unanimous vote adopted him and dressed him with PDP regalia and cap demonstrating their endorsement of his aspiration for 2027 general elections Senate from Kogi East.
They commended the vision and mission of Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant for taking the bull by the horn , by reviving PDP not only in Kogi East, but entire Kogi state with early shown of interest in the next political dispensation
The people of Ibaji local government area and PDP members was elated that their hopes have been revived by the coming of Alhaj Mohammed Abdullahi, Elephant and also endorsed him as their preferred candidate.
Ibaji local government acknowledged the achievements of the NNPP in the election where NNPP came second in the previous election, emphasizing that the collapse of the NNPP structure in Ibaji will enhance the chances of PDP delivering him in the election with wide margins.
They saluted the courage and style of politics adopted by Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant by sticking to the opposition party, stating that the ingredients of a thriving democracy is the participation of opposition ones .
Igala- mela Odolu also stood for Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, Elephant as he was welcomed by a large crowd of PDP members and supporters.
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chairman in the area , Mr. Achakuma was emphatic that they will not be sentimental about their decision on the candidate, alluding to the fact of his unanimous adoption by eight LGA already visited, pointing out that they cannot be different in Ajaka.
He described Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant as God’s sent to PDP to re-awaken the original party of the people of Kogi East, Kogi State in general by passing a vote of confidence in him .
The visit to Igala -Mela odolu brought to an end , the lengthy tour of the entire Kogi East Senatorial district by the PDP aspirant, Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, Elephant and subsequent adoption.
