Kogi election: Gov Bello Is My Boss, I will Support APC Candidate Ododo- ADC lawmaker Hon Ibikunle Idowu

The Kogi State House of Assembly Member representing Yagba West State Constituency Honourable Ibikunle Idowu a.k.a Kuli has advanced reasons for mobilizing his constituents support for the Governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC Alhaji Usman Ododo despite being a member of the opposition party the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Hon Ibikunle Idowu recalled that during the last presidential election the ADC Governorship candidate in Kogi State Hon Elder Leke Abejide mobilized high level of support for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu the incumbent president even though the ADC had is own presidential candidate.

According to him, supporting the Candidate of APC Alhaji Usman Ododo which is the preferred choice of Governor Bello and the ruling APC is not out of place.

The grassroots politician said he has been a long time political associates of Governor Yahaya Bello, stressing that,: the governor has been magnanimous to him in his quest for political office even before moving to the ADC to seek for the state house of Assembly position under ADC.

His words “Irrespective of the difference in our political parties, my relationship with Governor Yahaya Bello has remain intact and cordial. Governor Yahaya Bello is my boss and I will remain loyal to him.

“I am not elected into office to fight the government rather I am to use my office to attract development to my Constituency through cordial relationship with the Executive and Judiciary”.

Honourable Ibikunle Stated that Governor Yahaya Bello has shown him high level of kindness and the coming Governorship election is an avenue for him to reciprocate his love and support for the governor and his candidate in the election.

The assembly member who reiterated that the people of Yagba land especially Yagba West owes Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC the duty to massively support and vote for Ododo noted that the entire Okun nation have benefited immensely from the administration of Governor Bello.

He averred that for the people of Yagba to continue to enjoy the attending benefits of the mutual relationship with the Governor there is every need to accord maximum support for Usman Ododo to be the next governor of kogi State.

He emphasized that he is not a stooge to anybody but rather a politician with pedigree and reputation.
