The Director, Planning and Research for Kogi State All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Campaign Council, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman was part of the powerful delegations in the entourage of the Deputy Governor candidate, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu that paid a consultative visit to the Palace of the ‘Ejeh of Dekina’ His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliyu Usman Obaje on Friday 13th October, 2023.
The Consultation and Town hall/sensitization meeting that was held at the Palace of Ejeh Dekina and Government Secondary School, GSS Dekina respectively.

Comrade Joel informed the gathering that as an ordinary teacher whom His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has generously lifted, it is imperative for him to formally visit the paramount ruler for his blessings and to inform him of his bid, while also brief him about the plans and policies for the next dispensation under the ruling APC aimed at continuing and consolidating on the gains and achievements of the present administration.
The state’s Director General of APC campaign council, Prince Audu Shuaibu reiterated the importance of Kogi State to national development due to its abundant natural resources (Ajaokuta steal company) deposited in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of the state.
He added that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is fully behind the APC candidate and charged them to ensure overwhelming victory at the poll as Kogi State cannot afford to be hostile to the center as that will hinder progress and development of the state.
In his response, HRH Alhaji Aliyu Usman Obaje commended the APC Deputy Governor Candidate and his delegation for deeming it necessary to consult him ahead of the election.
He appreciated the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and reiterated that the joint ticket of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Oyibo Salifu is most suitable to drive the state to it’s promise land while bestowing on the candidates his royal blessings to winning the November 11th Governorship election adding that the APC flag bearers possess traits of visionary leaders essential for the continued development of Kogi State.
In a related development, DG Campaign for Kogi East, Rt Hon. Rabiu Alfa who was speaking at the Town Hall/Sensitization meetings charged the good people of Dekina Local Government Area to ensure that APC triumph seamlessly at the November 11 governorship election.
Speaking in turns at the meetings, Prince Audu Shuaibu and Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu sued for Continuity and Consolidation towards breaking several erstwhile regressive jinxes and positioning the state as one of the fastest developing states in the country.
According to Prince Shuaibu, he averred that “In other to attract opportunities and development to Kogi State, we must collectively jettison any selfish agenda that will hold Kogi hostage in the center while reminiscing that.
On the entourage towards securing overwhelming victory for the APC candidate includes, Dekina Local Government Chairman, Prince Ishaq, Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Enema Paul, Member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Ochidi, Hajia Halima Alfa Gaya, Dr. Gabriel Otta, Hon. Ishaka Musa amongst others.
