Kogi Guber Poll: Dr. Usman makes case for APC candidate as women, youths in Ankpa township reaffirm support for Ododo
Ahead of the November 11th Governorship election in Kogi State, woman and youths, spread across 49 polling units in Ankpa township have resolved to work assiduously towards successful emergence of the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
Arising from a meeting that turned mini– campagin which include party stalwarts, stakeholders and faithfuls drawn from the area, they expressed readiness to canvas support for the joint candidacy of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu.
In his address, the Director, Research and Planning for Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman urged the 49 APC canvassers in Ankpa township to deliver their respective polling units in the November governorship election in the state.
Dr. Usman in his address reiterated the commitment of Alhaji Ododo to transform the state by ensuring his government create enabling environment and employment opportunities for Kogi citizenry.
He noted that, Continuity and Consolidating on the gains and achievements of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza is essential just as he charged the woman and youths of the community to jettison any selfish agenda that has overtime been periodic and politically misleading.
Dr. Usman praised the efforts of the women, youths and canvassers for their unending commitment to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman while reassuring them of more dividend of democracy when Alhaji Ododo assume office come January, 2024.
He charged the electorates to safeguard their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs and also urged them to employ Door – to – Door approach in soliciting support and votes for the APC just as he assured them that the November election will be won for the ruling party with a landslide margin.
Dr Usman urged the voters in Ankpa township of the party’s support for its gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ododo, whom he described as the only candidates with ‘Kogi Developmental Agenda’ and most suitable to pilot the affairs of the state.
Earlier, the Chairman Ankpa Township, Honorable Danladi Negedu described Dr. Usman as a workaholic leader who has brought development and employment opportunities to its immediate community just as he charged the people of Ankpa township to sustain their support for the APC by redoubling their efforts towards the success of the party.
The overwhelming endorsement was energized by Dr. Usman’s words and left the event feeling ready to take on the challenges and deliver the Kogi November Gubernatorial election for the APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo.
Other speakers at the event, including Ankpa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu, Dr. M.K Ibrahim, Hon. Hassan Sule, State Women Leader and others, appealed to the people of the 49 Polling Units in Ankpa township to ensure APC’s victory in the election.
