“I am indeed very happy with what his excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has done so far to address the insecurities in Omala Local Government Area. I want to also commend his Deputy Joel Oyibo, the leadership of Kogi State House of Assembly, including the top Government functionaries in the State that accompanied the Governor to visit Omala Local Government to see for themselves some of the damages caused by the suspected herdsmen who have been attacking communities in my locality.

“We are indeed grateful for the Governor kind gesture. During the visit of his excellency, he came along with all the State serving Chiefs, which includes the army, Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, (NSCDC), Police, Department of State Security Services, (DSS) and other security agencies.

“They saw it themselves and they all agreed that there is going to be Forwarding Operating Base, (FOB) for the military. Also they said there will be a Naval base for the Nigeria Navy to patrol along the water way to curtail the entry of hoodlums troubling our community in Omala Local Government Area.

” They have been coming through Bagana because it is strategically located in border Nasarawa and Benue State. Omala particularly is badly affected. This are some of the reasons suspected Fulani militias have been finding their way to Omala Local Government.

“We are really impressed with the presence of all the State service Chief who have given us all the assurance that all this thing will be established to fight this militias terrorizing our communities in Omala Local Government” he added.

He charged the people of Kogi State to always remain vigilant and be supportive to the Government in combating security threat in their locality.
