Kogi LGA will not contest Governorship with Ododo in 2027,Barr Tanko Mohamed declared.
Barr Tanko Mohamed, Chairman, Kogi State Civil Service Commission, said their support for Ododo re-election in Kogi LGA is non-negotiable and that none of their son or daughter will contest Kogi Governorship with Ododo as evidence of total loyalty.
He disclosed this during the advocacy visit to the palace of Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfi, HRM Muhammed Akawu, by Okun League of Progressive Elites to solicit his kingdom’s support for the re-election of Governor Usman Ododo’s second term.
Earlier, the Director General of OLOPE, Barr Alfred Bello, said it’s time for the group to step out of OKUNLAND by reaching out to Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency so that Kogi West can speak with one voice to deliver overwhelmingly for Governor Ododo’s re-election come 2027.
He noted that the group will continue to advocate for the re-election of Governor Usman Ododo considering his outstanding achievements across all sectors of the state economy.
Responding, the Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfi, His Royal Majesty, Muhammed Akawu, said Kogi West must unite and speak with one voice to be able to face any challenges that may likely be an obstacle to the collective interest of Kogi West Senatorial District.
He urged the people of Kogi West to unite in pursuing a common goal, commended Okun League of Progressive Elites for visiting him in his palace.
He acknowledged the bold step of the group in reaching out to other parts of the senatorial district as a welcome development that will further strengthen the existing unity and togetherness.
