Kogi Police Begin Repairs at ‘A’ Division Lokoja After Rainstorm Damage, Assure Public of Uninterrupted Service
The Kogi State Police Command has commenced the restoration of the ‘A’ Division Police Station, Lokoja, after a recent rainstorm caused extensive damage to the facility.

Kogi State Command and made available to newsmen on Thursday morning, the Command said it had already notified the Force Management Team of the incident and was engaging relevant stakeholders, including the Kogi State Government, to facilitate repairs.
“We are pleased to inform the public that the process is already underway, and repair works are already at the initial stage,” the statement read.
According to the Command, the Force Management Team is actively facilitating the restoration, while the Kogi State Government has also taken steps to ensure that the repairs are carried out promptly.
Despite the damage to the structure, the Command said it has put necessary measures in place to ensure that policing services within the division continue without interruption.
“The Command appreciates the concern of members of the public and remains committed to providing a safe and conducive working environment for its personnel, as well as effective service delivery to the people of Kogi State,” the statement added.
‘A’ Division Lokoja is one of the busiest police formations in the state capital, handling core policing and public order duties within the Lokoja metropolis.
Meanwhile, it was reported yesterday that the facility was abandoned, leaving police officers to work under harsh conditions since a rainstorm blew off the roof of the station weeks ago.
