KOGI POLY MANAGEMENT CONDOLES WITH OBARO OF KABBA ON THE PASSING OF HIS WIFE, OLORI MARIA IGE OWONIYI

The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, led by the Rector, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extended its heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba, on the passing of his beloved wife, Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi.

During a condolence visit to the palace on Tuesday, 24thy March , 2025, in Kabba, Kogi State, Professor Usman expressed deep sorrow over the irreparable loss, describing Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi as a remarkable woman whose contributions to society will remain indelible.

Professor Usman extolled the virtues of the late Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi, emphasizing her unwavering commitment to community development, her compassionate heart, and her steadfast dedication to uplifting the lives of the people of Kabba and Okun land as a whole.

The Rector further prayed for divine strength and comfort for His Royal Majesty, the royal family, Kabba and the entire Kingdom, urging them to find solace in the impactful life she lived.

In a response, on behalf of the Kabba Area Traditional Council and Okun Traditional Council, His Royal Highness, Oba Lawrence Funsho Ayinmiro, the Olu of Iluke, expressed deep appreciation to the Rector and the entire Management team of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, for taking the time to personally extend their condolences to the Obaro and the kingdom.

Oba Ayinmiro acknowledged the strong bond between the institution and the Kingdom, recognizing the Polytechnic’s continued support for the development of the community.

In a shared grief, Oba Ayinmiro also extended the condolences of the people of Kabba to Kogi State Polytechnic over the recent passing of Barrister William Ameh, a member of the Management of the institution.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and urged both the Polytechnic and the Kabba Kingdom to draw strength from their cherished memories of Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi and Barr. William Ameh.

All Principal officers of the Polytechnic and the Chief Security Officer, Mr Emmanuel Onuh Attah were on the Rector’s entourage.
